Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

We harp on the freedom we have in America. And I agree, it's like no other nation in history. Our soldiers give their lives willingly for the sake of the freedom of their friends and family. They give us liberty.
I, personally have infinite gratefulness to our soldiers. I am very protective and very patriotic. And I have a deep, very sincere love for my country. But I just realized today...do I spend nearly as much time standing in awe gazing at the cross of Jesus Christ?
