...wait, what?

So I read the most hysterical thing the other day [ok, at least 6 months ago, but I just remembered it and I still find it hilarious.]...
And I wanted to tell someone, so here I go.

I'm reading on this blog and this lady comments on this guy's post and says; "You know, I was reading through the Bible, and I realized that G-d is....well, prideful. I mean, He's full of Himself and is constantly talking about how amazing He is. It annoys me, really. I don't want to worship a   G-d that's full of Himself."

My question is...when there was infinite nothingness, and G-d Himself hand-makes a MASSIVE universe, creates people, animals, plants, seas, etc...and then proclaims His greatness-- we have a problem with that?! Of all the things we could object to...
We shouldn't be prideful because we're...well, dirt. And He's G-D! He's it. Everything. The Beginning and the End. Nothing bigger than Him, nothing mightier than He is.
And we object to His proclaimation of His power and perfection?
I've read this argument multiple times, and although this sounds silly to me when spoken, the truth is that we would all admit that sometimes our pride gets in the way of our worship. So in the words of Mr. Gibbs [POTC], "everybody's thinkin it, she's just saying it..."

"There are two things that are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe."
-Albert Einstein
